Big Eddy is the result of a collaborative effort beginning in 1978 as an original alternative rock band, The Urge” comprised of Jim Laura, Steve Forkey and Bruce Van Auken producing several independent albums into the mid 1980’s.

After embarking on illustrious professional careers, the band regrouped in 2013 as an acoustic trio comprised of original Urge members Steve Forkey and Jim Laura with the addition of guitarist Kevin Boulanger. After a year or so the band realized something was missing in their mix an introduced original Urge drummer Bruce Van Auken.

Since the band’s reunion, they have developed a unique repertoire of well known rock and roll music as well as original music they present, encouraging audience participation and topping it off with amazing 4 part harmony.
